Last night, Margot made her appearance at the 96th Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. This event was the culmination of nearly a years worth of promotional events and appearances for her role as Barbie in the self titled movie. It truly was a promo tour to be remembered in the history of promo tours, and I for one will deeply miss this period of Margot’s career. Right now, we do have her collaboration project with Andrew to look forward to in the release of Barbie The World Tour on the 19th.
For Margot’s look, taking a break from her previous years wearing Chanel, she wore a Black sequined gown from the Versace Fall 2024 Collection. At first glance, it was a slight disappointment for me to not have Margot reference another Barbie, especially for such a grand finale. However considering Margot was not nominated for an actress award, with her co-star America Ferrera being nominated for Supporting Actress, I do believe this was her way of stepping out of the limelight.
Not seen under her dress, she wore custom Manolo Blahnik Crisspi Sandals.
In keeping with her overall colour palette, including her nails, Margot’s jewellery consisted of standout pieces including this Fred Leighton 1980’s Diamond and Gold twist cuff by Boivin.
She also wore a Fred Leighton 1940’s Gold and diamond bombe ring by Suzanne Belperron.
