Margot has returned to the red carpet tonight, this time in London where she has been nominated for her role in Barbie. This isn’t Margot’s first appearance at the awards ceremony, held at the Royal Festival Hall in London.

For the occasion, Margot wore a Giorgio Armani Privé silk pink and black velvet gown featuring a “sweetheart neckline and black paillette embroidery, paired with black opera gloves.”

My initial reaction was that I didn’t like this at all. In fairness I was slightly preoccupied at the time but in getting to see more pictures, I do have an appreciation for the silhouette of the gown. I’m just flummoxed as to the creative decision to forgo a necklace. Yes the earrings are a statement piece, Lorraine Schwartz, similar to her previously worn Black Jade and Emerald Cut Diamond earrings, but this look, in my opinion, also needs a piece on her neck.

I’m still in two minds over the gloves.

She wore a pair of Manolo Blahnik’s, her most worn for the Barbie promo tour.
