It’s been a hot minute since we’ve had a full Chanel look on Margot and the AFI Awards held at the Four Seasons Hotel saw her return to her once designer of choice. I’ve always thought that Margot was better suited to Chanel pulled from the archives and this look proved no different.
A more lowkey affair than upcoming red carpet events, Margot wore Claudia Schiffer’s Iconic look from the Chanel Spring 1995 Collection, a collection also dipped into for Barbie’s looks in the self-titled movie. The look consists of an Orange cropped cardigan with Black piping detail, Black corset mini skirt (deviation from the original look) and the runway matching cast glass and diamond brooch.
For footwear, she wore a pair of Manolo Blahnik “Tegna” Patent Leather Peep Toe Slingbacks.
Another piece from the 1995 Collection is her Chanel Aurora Stone Chain CC Belt. This belt also doubles as a necklace piece.
Jewellery wise, Margot wore a few pieces from her early “Barbie” promo days including her Jessica McCormack “Gypset” 1ct Heart Shape White Gold Hoop Earrings, priced at £30,000 and their 3mm Yellow Gold Wire Band. Another returning piece is her Chanel anklet.
Lastly, Margot carried a Chanel Mini Shiny Aged Calfskin Quilted Leather Shopping Bag with & Gold Tone Metal CC Logo detailing.
