Last night, at least for me, Margot attended her 4th Met Gala in her career. This was slightly unexpected as I didn’t believe there was any “motivation” for Margot to attended the annual event, but a pleasant surprise nonetheless. For 2026, the theme of the Met Exhibition was “Costume Art”, with the Met Gala theme being “Fashion is Art”. As always, the Gala is an event to raise funds for the Costume Institute.

Although she has attended the Met Gala 3 times previously, this is only the 2nd time Margot has worn a Chanel creation. With her last appearance in 2023, in which the theme celebrated Karl Lagerfeld, the former creative director, she once again walked the red carpet in a custom creation by the French house. The Golden lamé gown took over 761 hours to be put together and was completed with over 1,000 pieces of embroidery. The gown itself is the first to be created under the new creative direction of Matthieu Blazy.

Under her gown, spotted leaving her hotel, Margot wore a pair of Manolo Blahnik Paloma Sandals.

Onto her standout jewellery pieces, the first are her Chanel Golden Sillage Yellow Sapphire and Spessartite Garnet Earrings.

On her left hand, she wore a Chanel Golden Braid Diamond Ring.

On her right hand, she sported a Chanel Café Society High Jewellery Collection Ring.

Lastly, of the red carpet, she carried a Chanel Spring 2026 Couture Custom Bag.
